Nestled in the hills above Aix-en-Provence, the Château de la Gaude is one of the most elegant and architecturally refined venues in the region. Its manicured gardens and neoclassical façade create a naturally formal atmosphere.
Music that works best: Sophisticated house music, nu-jazz and deep electronic sets for the cocktail hour. Classic soul, funk and feel-good anthems for the evening reception. The stone walls and garden acoustics carry sound beautifully — subtle, considered programming works better here than high-energy EDM.
2. Domaine de Fontenille — Lauris, Luberon
One of the most sought-after addresses in the Luberon, Domaine de Fontenille offers an intimate, boutique experience surrounded by lavender fields and vineyards. The venue’s natural beauty makes it a favourite among couples seeking an authentic Provençal atmosphere.
Music that works best: Acoustic sets and French chanson during the ceremony and cocktail hour capture the spirit of the region perfectly. For the evening, a carefully curated mix of international pop, soul and disco keeps the dancefloor alive without overwhelming the intimate setting. Note the venue’s noise restrictions — music typically ends at midnight.
3. Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild — Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
Perched on the Cap-Ferrat peninsula between Nice and Monaco, the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is one of the most spectacular venues on the French Riviera. Its nine themed gardens cascading down to the sea create a backdrop that is simply incomparable.
Music that works best: The setting calls for something refined and international. Jazz and bossa nova for the cocktail hour, transitioning into sophisticated pop and disco as the evening progresses. With guests typically flying in from across Europe and beyond, bilingual MC work is essential here.
4. Château La Coste — Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade
A world-class art and wine destination set among 500 acres of organic vineyard near Aix-en-Provence. Château La Coste combines contemporary architecture, extraordinary art installations, and exceptional wine — making it one of the most unique wedding venues in all of France.
Music that works best: The modern, design-forward atmosphere calls for curated electronic music — minimal techno, melodic house, and progressive sounds that complement the architectural vision of the venue. Guests here tend to be design and culture-conscious; the music should reflect that.
5. Bastide Saint Mathieu — Grasse
Set above the perfume capital of the world in the hills behind Cannes, Bastide Saint Mathieu is an 18th-century farmhouse transformed into one of Provence’s most romantic small hotels. Its gardens, pool, and lavender terraces make it a perfect intimate wedding venue for up to 80 guests.
Music that works best: Intimate and warm. Acoustic guitar or light jazz during the ceremony, flowing into a relaxed evening of Ibiza-influenced lounge, French pop classics and feel-good disco. The smaller scale means the DJ can be more responsive to the crowd — more personal, more spontaneous.
6. Villa Belrose — Gassin, Saint-Tropez
Overlooking the Bay of Saint-Tropez from the heights of Gassin, Villa Belrose offers a panoramic Mediterranean setting that takes the breath away. It is the quintessential South of France experience — sun, sea, rosé, and celebration.
Music that works best: This is one of the few venues where you can go big. Sunset cocktails call for French house and nu-disco; as night falls and the bay lights up, the energy builds naturally into a full celebration. International couples often want a mix of global hits and French classics — both work perfectly here.
7. Mas de la Rose — Orgon, Alpilles
Hidden in the wild landscape of the Alpilles, Mas de la Rose is a beautifully restored Provençal farmhouse surrounded by rose gardens, olive trees, and lavender fields. It is countryside Provence at its most genuine and most beautiful.
Music that works best: Relaxed and earthy. Flamenco guitar, acoustic covers and French chanson during the ceremony and dinner. The evening can evolve into something more energetic — but the magic of this venue is in its authenticity, and the music should honour that rather than fight it.
8. Le Petit Trianon — Marseille
For couples who want an urban edge to their Provence wedding, Le Petit Trianon in Marseille offers a stunning Haussmann-era interior with exceptional acoustics. It is the perfect choice for those who want the energy of the city alongside the romance of the region.
Music that works best: The sound system and acoustics here allow for a full DJ production — rich bass, crisp highs, and the kind of dancefloor energy that transforms a dinner into an unforgettable night. From soul and R&B during dinner to house and international club music as the evening peaks.
9. Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc — Antibes

Guests at this venue expect international-calibre entertainment — the DJ must be fluent in multiple musical languages and impeccably professional in every interaction.
10. Château Roubine — Lorgues, Var
A certified organic vineyard estate in the heart of the Var, Château Roubine is a wine lover’s paradise. Its vineyards, cellars, and gardens create a deeply Provençal setting that feels genuinely rooted in the land and culture of the region.
Music that works best: Let the wine and the landscape do the storytelling. A sunset aperitif with jazz and light acoustic music, followed by a convivial dinner with French and international classics. As the wine flows and the stars appear, the energy rises naturally — and the DJ’s job is simply to follow it.
